Our Story — Zamora Design and Build
Zamora Design & Build started in 2020 with nothing more than a credit card, a push mower, and two brothers who were hungry to build something bigger for their family.At the time, we were just 19 and 21 years old.Most people our age were focused on school or figuring out life.We were knocking doors, cutting lawns, and learning the landscaping industry completely from scratch.We launched the business in Dalton, Georgia, doing weekend lawns just to make extra cash. But the more we worked, the more we realized we weren’t just cutting grass — we were building something we truly loved. The grind, the transformation, the impact… it hooked us. Eventually, we moved to Kennesaw to attend Kennesaw State University, studying electrical engineering.
But while college gave us lectures, entrepreneurship gave us purpose. We were taking client calls between classes, meeting homeowners after labs, and studying business late into the night. Soon, we realized the truth: Landscaping wasn’t our side hustle anymore — it was our calling. So we made the biggest decision of our young lives:We dropped out of KSU and went all-in on our business.No experience.No investors.Just commitment, hustle, and a relentless drive to outwork everyone.
